This course in Practical Philosophy has been offered in East Anglia for 40 years.
It deals in a down to earth way with the big issues which are the concern of all of us, such as peace of mind, happiness and wellbeing. Related to Advaita Vedanta, the philosophy of unity, the emphasis is on what unites us all.
Philosophy is taught not as an academic discipline but as a guide by which anyone, regardless of background, can discover a fuller and richer life. Sessions consist of interactive discussion of the philosophical ideas presented.
Students are encouraged to gain insights by trying out new ideas in practice in their daily lives.
